5 Jobs in IT You Can Use When Creating Your Tech Startup

5 Jobs in IT You Can Use When Creating Your Tech Startup

If you are thinking about creating your own tech startup, you may not be aware how valuable previous jobs in IT could be to your business. We go over some of the jobs and attributes you can use to succeed.

We’re seeing tech startups pop up on our radar now more than ever. In fact, LinkedIn predicts nearly one million tech jobs will open in the next 5 years.

The digital world we live in has created a space for IT professionals to step up and steal the show. If you’re the entrepreneur behind a tech startup, you’ll need certain people on your staff to help you succeed.

It doesn’t matter what kind of tech work you do. Some IT positions are universal across the board. Here are 5 jobs in IT you should hire for your startup.

1. Network Administrator

These days, most companies rely on network and communication systems to maximize efficiency. It’s especially important for tech startups to ensure their digital systems run smoothly. If not, they could run into serious internal and external problems.

A network administrator will help develop and maintain your various digitized systems. They’ll ensure these systems are designed for maximum output, all while saving you time and resource.

2. Data Architect

Monitoring data is crucial for companies to analyze their performance. To pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, we turn to various systems that track metrics. We rely on data architects to oversee the management of data collecting systems.

They’ll develop a database for storing information, and make adjustments as need be. If your data isn’t being managed in the most efficient way, they’ll be able to improve existing systems.

3. Technical Support

Most tech companies work with clients, so there needs to be some form of technical support. This person plays a dual role, as they need both customer service and technical skills.

A support specialist should also be able to help you combat your system errors. So, they also need a thorough understanding of how to troubleshoot your specific programs.

4. Development Operations Engineer

What’s a tech company without its product? Development engineers design computer programs, such as operating systems or website servers. This field is quite broad, as there are many different areas of program design.

Those looking to find IT jobs for their company should first start with this position. In many cases, these engineers are the backbone of the tech product.

5. Web Developer

The last position we recommend hiring for is a web developer. They’ll help create an optimal website, designed for enhancing your user’s experience. Plus, as a tech company, having a well-performing website is crucial to landing clients.

A web developer should know front-end and back-end tools for creating a site. They also need to be able to code through HTML, Java, and other common programs.
