3 Tips for Reducing the Risk of Fraud in Your Business

No business wants to believe it could happen to them, yet you’d be surprised how common fraud is. It can strike any business, regardless of how big or small it is. That’s right—no matter how tight you think your team is or how much you trust everyone on board, the truth is that fraud can […]

What Is the Best Office Chair for Your Startup?

If you work a 40-hour a week desk job, you’re putting in over 2,000 hours a year, all while sitting in your office chair.

If you’re launching your own startup, you can plan one even more hours.

According to millionaire Grant Cordone, a startup master, you should be working 95 hours a week and not 9-5. In that case, you’d be spending over 4,700 hours a week in your office chair.

You need a good office chair if you plan on being around to see your start-up business turn into a success.

Office Chair Essentials

If you plan on parking yourself at a desk for eight hours a day, your chair must have these features:

1. Adjustable

Great office chairs will fit the person sitting in them. This means they need to have adjustable features like lumbar support and width and height in just about any feature. With some office chairs, you can adjust the arm and seat back width and height. You can adjust the tension control and seatback angle.

2. Lumbar Support

Sciatica can put you out of work for weeks. Good lumbar support will help you avoid this problem. Office chair companies understand this need, and as a result, most office chairs have lumbar support.

3. Wheel Base

Because you do not stay inert at your desk, most office chairs have a wheelbase. Wheels allow you to move easily instead of reaching for what you need. Make sure the wheels work with the surface of your floor. If you have a carpeted office, for example, make sure your wheels are specifically designed for carpet.

4. Swivel Base

Twisting and turning in your chair will eventually cause long-term back problems. Arm fatigue can result as well from overextending to grab what you need. A good office chair will have a swivel base along with the wheelbase so you can roll and spin.

5. Fabric

A good chair consists of breathable and durable fabric, not to mention stylish. Some chairs have mesh backs that liken them to lawn chairs while others have stylish leather. Your chair should also have enough cushion to make it comfortable for an eight-hour or longer day. You should not feel the base of the chair through the cushion.

So, What is a Good Office Chair?

Aesthetics aren’t essential for a great office chair, but they sure make you feel good.

Office chairs can have style and beauty along with comfort. For example, if you check out Eames chairs, you’ll initially find a group of chairs that look fit for a waiting room. They’re sleek and beautiful but do not have the typical characteristics of an office chair.

If you dig a little deeper, you’ll discover that the Eames chair company has the office chair you’re looking for, and it doesn’t look like something from a command center.

If you buy Eames chairs, you’ll find the same sleek design as their other chairs but the same requirements for a sound office chair. They’re practical, comfortable, and stylish.

Beautiful and Comfortable

As you turn your startup dream into reality, consider the beauty of a chair, and pick a chair that is both comfortable and fashionable. It will make you want to stay at work.
